The Dominican real estate market is really starting to heat up now that US real estate mogul Donald Trump has entered the fray. With the likes of Fashion designer Oscar de la Renta and world reknowned singer Julio Iglesias, the Dominican real estate scene is not short on famous names.
Boasting the 3rd largest tourism industry in all of Latin America, the Dominican Republic has built a very successful all inclusive tourism market and now seeks to promote upscale real estate projects targeted at both local and foreign residents. President Leonel Fernandez believes that the Samana region of this Caribbean country has the great potential to become the Monte Carlo of Latin America.
Donald Trump's new resort, THE CARIBBEAN TRUMP will include a condo hotel, a beach club, a golf course, golf villas and golf lots, estate lots. On February, Cap Cana S.A. signed a dealt with Trump to develop and maret in luxury product in the Dominican Republic, including a golf course, condo-hotel, beach club, golf villas and lots, seafront residences and apartments, which together will be called "Trump at Cap Cana." Cap Cana said the first development is the "Trump Farall Estates at Cap Cana," of 68 lots from 6,000 to 24,000 square meters, located on a promontory 200 feet above sea level, on the Caribbean.Real estate promoters consider Cap Cana’s more than 120 million square meters the Caribbean’s most important development in tourism real estate, boasting white sand beaches and crystalline waters.
